The Hotel Sonrisa restaurant is located in the main building directly at the beachside, with the astonish view over the Indian Ocean and a calming sound of the waves. Your meal can be served on the beach as well. Dining under the starry sky subtly lightened up by oil lamps is an unforgettable experience!
Fish and seafood is our specialty. An oven-baked fish wrapped in banana tree leaves and served with coconut flavored rice is just unbeatable. And sweet dessert makes every our meal perfect – our home made chocolate is always warm recollection. All meals are prepared of fresh local products and adjusted to Europeans likes and tastes. We also serve typical African and Indian dishes. On special request the meal call Koroga can be prepared and served on the beach, which gives you a chance to spend nice time together while cooking in a big pot called sufrija on a coal oven called jiko.
Restaurant remains open from 7. 30 am till the late. Breakfast is served at anytime you wish – just as you find perfect. There is an African saying “God at the moment of creating gave to Europeans watch and to Africans time”- maybe for a while it is worth to fill in to the local ambience during your holidays…
As a rule we don’t serve buffet meals. For guests who choose the full board option a three-course menu is served at your table. We select the menu ourselves taking into considerations your preferences and specific dietary restrictions. Guests who just ordered accommodation can choose their meals from our a la card menu.
If you take an early safari trip, your breakfast can be served earlier or be given as a packed meal. We just need a one-day notice.
Our bar, located next to the pool, serves local and foreign specialties like amarula made of fruits, which elephants adore and which makes them feel dizzy. Either of other two African cocktails called dawa (made of vodka, lime, brown sugar and honey) or daiquiri (with fresh mango or pineapple) would be a good choice too. It is also great to try our cocktails made of freshly squeezed pineapple juice and coconut cream.
